Executive Director MitoCanada Foundation
Since 2015 Maureen has been a key architect of MitoCanada’s move towards broadening the organization’s profile, increasing advocacy efforts and having the Foundation partner with academia, researchers, industry, health system decision-makers and engaging with patient communities in a meaningful way.
She brings a diverse background that includes health outcomes, policy development, and public affairs including with Manitoba Health Services Commission/Manitoba Health; Glaxo Wellcome Canada; Hill and Knowlton Canada; and KCI Medical. Maureen has held multiple board governance positions with Halton Healthcare Services, Oakville Hospital Foundation, New Oakville Hospital Art Council and ArtHouse. She holds a BA Economics (Statistics) and a Certificate in Management from University of Manitoba. In 2015 was awarded a Patient Advocate Fellowship at the DIA’s 51st Annual Meeting in Washington, DC.
